Recalibration

We recommend that the SolarSIM sensors are recalibration every two years in order to ensure optimal measurement accuracy. The recalibration process includes optical and thermal calibration procedures. We also routinely replace a recalibrated unit's dessicant.

Optical recalibration is performed on-sun, against our SolarSIM reference units following procedures modified from ISO9847 and ISO9059. Every recalibrated SolarSIM comes with a calibration certificate that is traceable to the World Radiation Reference and includes a description of the calibration procedure.
