Be sure to sign in to the upcoming 2020 IEEE PVSC-47 Virtual Meeting to hear Spectrafy’s CTO, Viktar Tatsiankou, talk about our latest work in three-component irradiance measurement. His award-nominated talk, entitled: Improved Global Irradiance Decomposition by Sky Condition Classification from Measured Spectral Clearness Indices, will explore how we are able to leverage the SolarSIM-Gs spectral data to extract not just global irradiance, but diffuse and direct irradiance components as well – all from a single Class A sensor with no moving parts. Just one more exciting example of the power of Spectrafy’s multi-spectral measurement approach. Congrats to Viktar and his team!

At the recently held World Meteorological Technology Expo in Geneva ,Switzerland, it was announced that Spectrafy’s CTO, Viktar Tatsiankou had been awarded the Hydro Meteorological Equipment Industry Association’s 2019 Award for Young Engineers, for his pioneering work inventing the SolarSIM technology.

The HMEI Award honors young engineers, not exceeding the age of 35 at the time of nomination, for outstanding work that has been published either in a scientific journal, a significant technical report, a project report or as summary of a successfully defended PhD thesis or that has been granted a patent. Congratulations Viktar!

In September, Spectrafy’s CEO attended Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo – India’s largest solar power exhibition, where he took part in the expo’s CEO Conclave and met with some of India’s leading PV developers to discuss the latest in solar spectral measurement and analysis. Richard also took the opportunity to meet with Spectrafy’s local resellers, various universities and key national institutions, including the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), the Solar Energy Corporation of India and the National Institute of Wind Energy, which operates India’s Solar Radiation Resource Assessment Program.
